Initiatives demonstrating BMG Foods' commitment to ensuring a sustainable and responsible meat supply chain, respecting the environment and human rights. Geographic Monitoring We use the SMGeo Direto tool to monitor the activities of direct suppliers across all biomes where we operate, including the Amazon and Cerrado. Since the system's implementation in 2021, approximately 3,510 properties and 6 million hectares have been geographically monitored. Zero Deforestation Commitment We have launched a Zero Deforestation commitment in the supply chain, ensuring the responsible sourcing of meat and leather. Currently, over 600 properties and 400,000 hectares are monitored to prevent illegal deforestation. Social Aspects Our purchasing and supplier evaluation policies require all suppliers to provide a work environment free from discrimination and to respect human rights. This includes the prohibition of degrading, illegal, slave, and child labor practices. Training and Monitoring We conduct ongoing team training and alignment between the Sustainability and Purchasing departments to ensure supplier compliance and their inclusion in the supply chain.

Climate Change We conduct Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions inventories that cover our operations in Brazil. In 2022, the Concepción Group's emissions totaled 18,505.51 tCO2e. Eco-efficiency initiatives helped prevent the release of 4,500 tons of CO2e into the atmosphere. Natural Resource We have implemented measures to improve operational efficiency and foster innovation in the use of natural resources. Sustainable timber is used for thermal energy generation, and we actively promote the recycling of plastic and cardboard materials. Water and Effluent Management Regular studies are conducted to assess the exposure of operations to water risks, and corrective measures are in place to ensure water quality and maintain food safety. Energy Our entire logistics fleet is equipped for the use of Arla 32, an additive that reduces atmospheric pollutant emissions. Additionally, we promote energy efficiency and educate teams on best sustainability practices.

The well-being and integrity of both direct and indirect employees is a commitment of BMG Foods. We have over 5,500 employees contributing daily to our operations, increasing their income and ability to support their families. We adhere to strict guidelines to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We understand the importance of acting preventively and correctively to eliminate accidents and provide safe working conditions. This includes individual and collective protective equipment, improving task execution conditions, ergonomics, and safety programs. Our health and safety management follows global principles, along with regional programs and local action plans. Training and education form the foundation for disseminating health and safety policies. Actions in this area include the onboarding of new employees, task-specific training, industrial safety meetings, and monthly updates. Each position is provided with uniforms adapted to employees' needs and the characteristics of their work, such as temperature conditions, equipment operation, and tools, among other factors. Our production certifications, HACCP and BRC, also contribute to maintaining appropriate and safe working conditions for our employees.

Certifications

To ensure the quality and safety of our products and employees, BMG Foods follows strict international food safety standards and best production practices.
