Initiatives demonstrating BMG Foods' commitment to ensuring a sustainable and responsible meat supply chain, respecting the environment and human rights.
- Geographic Monitoring
We use the SMGeo Direto tool to monitor the activities of direct suppliers across all biomes where we operate, including the Amazon and Cerrado. Since the system's implementation in 2021, approximately 3,510 properties and 6 million hectares have been geographically monitored.
- Zero Deforestation Commitment
We have launched a Zero Deforestation commitment in the supply chain, ensuring the responsible sourcing of meat and leather. Currently, over 600 properties and 400,000 hectares are monitored to prevent illegal deforestation.
- Social Aspects
Our purchasing and supplier evaluation policies require all suppliers to provide a work environment free from discrimination and to respect human rights. This includes the prohibition of degrading, illegal, slave, and child labor practices.
- Training and Monitoring
We conduct ongoing team training and alignment between the Sustainability and Purchasing departments to ensure supplier compliance and their inclusion in the supply chain.
